Last night, police were called to an isolated estate on the Heights after a woman, known only as “Cathy,” was caught attempting to break in through a window.
Heathcliff, the property owner, had alerted authorities, saying he’d found her trying to force her way inside.
When officers arrived, Cathy explained her actions by saying, “I’m so cold, let me in through your window.” But locals, and even Heathcliff himself, suggest there’s far more to this story than just a chill in the air.
According to sources, Cathy has been stalking the man for months, and this break-in is only the latest in a series of unwanted visits.
Their history goes back years, marked by what neighbors describe as a volatile, all-consuming relationship.
One resident, who knew the couple well, summed it up: “They were always at each other’s throats. Cathy was obsessed, always jealous, and Heathcliff wasn’t exactly calm either. It was like they couldn’t stand each other, but couldn’t stay away.”
Heathcliff, who’s been dealing with Cathy’s increasingly erratic behavior for weeks, admitted to officers that she’d been “haunting” him. He’s reportedly been receiving unexpected visits and strange messages for some time now, though this latest incident seems to have pushed things to a breaking point.
Cathy was released on bail but is now under investigation for her persistent harassment.
Local authorities are keeping a close eye on the situation, and many of Heathcliff’s neighbors are left wondering how far Cathy will go to reignite what some believe is an unhealthy obsession.
As this bizarre drama unfolds, one thing is clear: what started as a desperate plea for warmth is, in reality, part of a far more troubling story. Whether Cathy will back down, or if this is only the beginning of something darker, remains to be seen.
